There are 3 phases of competition, each counting for ⅓ of your score; Interview (33%), Fitness (33%) & Evening Gown (33%).

INTERVIEW – Each contestant will have the opportunity to converse with the selection committee.  The selection committee will spend time with each delegate to learn more about who she is – her goals, aspirations, successes.  The committee will seek a young woman capable of expressing herself clearly, intelligently, and confidently. This is your opportunity to impress the committee with your opinions, ability to communicate, and overall sense of self. They are not looking for rehearsed answers. Questions may come from the information you provide on the Profile Sheet but be prepared for anything.

SWIMSUIT (MISS) / ACTIVEWEAR (TEEN) – Attention is focused on figure, physical fitness and the confidence with which each contestant carries herself. Numerical measurements are not considered in the judging.

EVENING GOWN – Each delegate wears a gown she has chosen for herself. Attention is focused on each contestant’s overall appearance, self-confidence, sense of style and the beauty she brings to the gown of her choice.

Preliminary scores are totaled and the contestants with the highest scores advance to the semi-finals.  The semi-finalists then compete in Fitness & Evening Gown.  The delegates with the highest score advance to the finals where they will answer an on-stage question.  The committee then makes their selection for the runners-up and the winner of the Miss San Antonio Texas & Miss San Antonio Texas Teen!
